Location: Salt Lake City,UT, USA
This position is hybrid in Salt Lake City, UT. Expected to go into the Myriad Genetics SLC office 2-4 times per month.
The Revenue Reporting & Analysis Sr Analyst supports Myriad's revenue estimation: the amount of cash it expects to collect from insurers and patients; contributes to financial reporting; and analyzing of revenue and relevant processes, controls, and results. This position reports to the Revenue Reporting & Analysis Sr Director.
Responsibilities
* Prepare analyses for stakeholders (including CFO, business unit executives, and FP&A) regarding drivers, trends, and anomalies in revenue
* Provide support to revenue modeling and methodology development/refinement
* Gain understanding of the company's operations, business strategies, and processes
* Streamline reporting to ensure efficient and accurate recording as well as proper classification of revenue
* Perform and review controls that support accurate financial reporting, such as reconciliations of accounts/data, correct input of data, and application controls
* Support both external and internal audit processes
* Undertake ad hoc analyses and support corporate initiatives, as needed
Qualifications
* 5+ years of data analysis, financial analysis, revenue cycle analysis, cost accounting or relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other quantitative field required
* Master's degree preferred
* Data analysis: proficiency in computations such as weighted averages, trends, regressions; critical thinking; problem solving; intellectual curiosity
* Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with high attention to detail
* Proficient in Excel
Physical Requirements
Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
