Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. The Role: This AP Specialist will ensure the complete and accurate processing of payable items on behalf of Fanatics Collectibles, with a specific focus on Athlete Partners, which includes: working directly with the various sport Athlete Partners teams to create and maintain supplier records in the payables system, validating and submitting invoices as needed, ensuring timely payment of vendors, and working with others inside and outside the Fanatics Accounting Shared Services AP tower, including any and all operational departments as needed to ensure the highest customer service internally and externally. Fanatics Collectibles is responsible for the coordination of signings between athletes, celebrities, personalities and Fanatics Collectibles and this position plays a key role in ensuring some of Fanatics first transactional interactions with these high profile vendors goes smoothly and establishes confidence in the Fanatics name. What You'll Do:
  • Perform day to day full-cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
  • Ensure rapid processing of new vendor setup and vendor record change requests
  • Research any invoice/payment discrepancies
  • Ensure the Athlete Partners team is kept apprised of the status of vendor setup, invoice processing and payment activities
  • Verify transactions comply with accounting policies and procedures
  • Reconcile vendor statements and respond to all vendor inquires
  • Administrative duties and other duties as assigned
  • Understand and adhere to internal controls

  • Knowledge of full end to end accounts payable processes
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical/problem solving, verbal & written communication, organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task and is detailed-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment where prioritization is key and teamwork is a must

  • Typing and 10 key skills required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and managing data.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate degree in accounting and or equivalent certification.
  • 5+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
  • Proficient in using accounting systems and software, including ERP systems; Oracle experience a plus.
  • Experience with the set up and maintenance of the vendor master file.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
In NYC, the hourly range for this position is $36.06 to $43.27 per hour, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
