Asa Senior Appraiser you will perform real estate appraisals ofcommercial properties for ad valorem tax purposes. - Visits properties and gathers physical and economic information to appraiseproperties
- Revalues land as a result of splits, combinations, new parcels and zoningchanges
- Reviews information supplied by taxpayers and performs analysis to support anddefend the values during all levels of appeals
- Reviews exemption and exclusion applications and documentation
- Prepares and implements the general revaluation
- Provides technical guidance and leadership to the staff in the absence ofAppraisal/Collection Manager

- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Four years of experience in real or commercial property appraisal
- North Carolina Department of Revenue - Real Property Appraiser I within one year of employment
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
- Four years of experience in commercial/industrial appraisal or a certified residential or general designation by the North Carolina Appraisal Board
