Job ID: 110723The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.Job SummaryWork Location: On-site at our Display, Processing, and Networking Center of Excellence in Johnstown, PAStandard working hours for our production staff are Monday-Thursday 6:00am-3:30pm, working Fridays 6:00am-2:30pm and every other Friday offJob ResponsibilitiesResponsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budgetFollow written work instructionsWork under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needsMay perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified processes and proceduresRely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goalsAble to effectively communicate with other functional departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and QualityResolve most questions and problems, serving as a resource to others and referring only the most complex problems and issues to higher levelsBe a self-starter and demonstrate good decision making abilityMust maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)Proper use of required PPEMay periodically assist in orienting and training lower level employeesMay participate in LEAN Events, “Six S” activities, action teams etc.Perform advanced-level assembly functions, which may include: prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within ProductionJob Responsibilities Part IIPerform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of tools and equipmentInterpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructionsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly#NEL #LI-AS1 #INDNEUTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
