Position Overview:
In this position, you will oversee and manage a commercial real estate senior debt portfolio. This role involves monitoring loan performance, conducting underwriting and market analysis, and coordinating with borrowers and co-lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Oversight: Monitor and manage commercial real estate senior debt, engaging with borrowers for updates on leasing and business plans.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks, monitor collateral, and ensure compliance with transaction terms.
- Underwriting: Perform quarterly underwriting and risk projections, reviewing assumptions with CRE Management.
- Borrower Requests: Review and escalate borrower requests for advances, releases, and extensions.
- Co-Lender Issues: Manage co-lender relations and address issues as needed.
- Loan Restructuring: Coordinate with deal teams and co-lenders to restructure non-performing loans.
- Amendments: Evaluate and recommend amendments to loan documentation.
- Reporting: Provide weekly updates on loan performance and risks to CRE Management and Credit Risk colleagues.
- Compliance: Prepare data for regulatory submissions and train junior asset managers.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10-15+ years in real estate credit/asset management or structured products.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, quantitative, and technical skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications preferred.
