Support day-to-day BD efforts to develop and convert customer pipeline, including identification of new opportunities within and across client segments, including Global Health, Governments, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, and others. The work may include conducting outreach, preparing and conducting client meetings, supporting and, eventually, driving the contracting process. Moreover, for active programs, the Senior Associate will focus on identifying opportunities to expand the program's scope, understanding client needs, and driving the definition of new proposals. In the beginning, the Senior Associate will rely on her team's leads, but she will be expected to eventually create and pursue her own leads. Support BD leads in development of client-facing presentations, contracts, proposals, and other documents. In particular, the Senior Associate will support and then eventually lead the development of proposals, including coordinating across functions to define requirements, working with partners to complement internal capabilities, and developing financial models in partnership with the finance teams to match client budgets and optimize profitability to Ginkgo. Develop strategy for key market verticals and go-to-market plans: The Senior Associate will support the definition of the approach to tackle specific market segments, including the definition of client needs, product offering that is most likely to achieve product-market fit, technology, supply chain, partnerships, and financial model. The Go-to-market plan will include: target clients, prioritization, contacts, and collaterals for the engagement. Program Startup: The Senior Associate will work closely across functions and partners to launch new programs, including setting up an implementation plan, coordinating operational setup, ensuring data collection and reporting, coordinating client touchpoints, and capturing and implementing client feedback. Program Operations: Depending on the program, the Senior Associate may be expected to play the role of Program Manager or work closely with the assigned Program Manager to deliver on the program objectives and deliverables. This includes ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services in a timely manner and according to the program requirements. Track quantitative and qualitative metrics to identify areas for improvement and prioritize problems to solve. Tackle the most urgent and immediate problems facing the project as a whole. Provide cross-functional coordination for successful, timely program deployments. Continuously identify opportunities for scope expansion, as well as provide feedback to the product and R&D teams about client needs and potential product expansions. Contribute to the creation of thought leadership materials, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, white papers, blog posts, etc., in partnership with colleagues across functions and partners. Participate in conferences as a presenter, panelist, or attendee to represent Ginkgo and discuss our work and product/service offering.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in related field. Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Experience in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, public health, or other scientific experience (in business or technical role). Proven track record of project ownership and/or project management and results orientation in a team setting.Preferred Capabilities And Experience MBA or advanced degree in Sciences, Public Health or Public Policy. 1-2 years of consulting experience at a top consulting organization. 2-3 years of biology, chemistry, biotechnology, public health, or other scientific experience (in business or technical role). Strong analytical skills, with an ability to develop fact-based and informed opinions. Experience visualizing and interpreting data for a non-technical audience. Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and an ability to work across organizational boundaries. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mobilize people across the organization, and to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficient financial acumen.Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a starting salary of a minimum of range 60k+, as well as company stock awards. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
