Our client is seeking a Senior Associate for their Consumer Practice team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for drafting high-quality pleadings, guiding junior attorneys, and representing clients in arbitrations and court. You will have the chance to develop case theory and contribute to litigation strategies.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Associate in Consumer Practice, your role will be multifaceted. You will draft high-quality pleadings and communications while guiding junior attorneys on tasks related to consumer class actions and mass arbitrations. Your ability to develop case theory will be crucial as you offer substantive input on litigation strategies. Managing a voluminous caseload of arbitrations will require strong organizational skills. Representing clients in various legal proceedings such as arbitrations, mediations, and court appearances including oral arguments, hearings, and trials will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Draft comprehensive, fact-intensive pleadings, discovery demands, and communications
  • Guide junior attorneys on tasks involving consumer class actions and mass arbitrations
  • Develop case theory and offer substantive input on litigation strategies
  • Manage a voluminous caseload of arbitrations
  • Represent clients in arbitrations, mediations, and in court, including oral arguments, hearings, and trials
  • Work independently as well as part of a team when necessary

The ideal candidate for the Senior Associate position brings extensive experience from the plaintiff's side of mass arbitration or consumer litigation. Your ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines will be essential. Strong analytical skills and exceptional oral and written communication abilities are key to success in this role. Experience participating in the arbitration process or making court appearances is highly desirable. While not mandatory, experience with data breach cases or working in high-volume arbitration would be advantageous. A background in Law Review, Federal Court clerkship, or similar writing experience would further enhance your application.

  • 4+ years' experience in plaintiffs' side mass arbitration or consumer litigation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills; exceptional oral and written communication abilities
  • Experience participating in the arbitration process and/or making court appearances
  • Experience with data breach cases or in the high-volume arbitration space is preferred but not required
  • Law Review, Federal Court clerkship or similar other writing experience is a plus
