We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Credit Trader/Researcher with a specialization in the financial and banking sectors for our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting corporate credit research, evaluating trading opportunities in Developed Markets, and sourcing new opportunities. They will be pivotal in trading and monitoring our portfolio, generating essential metrics, risk, and performance analytics in line with our public credit strategies, which encompass corporate bonds, credit ETFs, structured finance, and credit derivatives.

Our Public Credit group is focused on the development and management of scalable alpha strategies, offering the candidate an unparalleled opportunity for learning and growth. The role includes managing the entire lifecycle of an investment, with a direct path to trading and portfolio management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth credit research within the financial and banking sectors.
  • Identify and execute trading opportunities in IG/HY Developed Markets.
  • Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Trade and monitor the public credit portfolio, ensuring adherence to our investment strategies.
  • Generate and analyze portfolio metrics, risk, and performance analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize portfolio performance and risk management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate credit trading and research, specifically in financials and banking.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of public credit strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
