Job description
The Senior Associate/of Counsel will play a pivotal role in our litigation department, handling complex disputes and providing strategic solutions. The position involves client interaction and court appearances. You will work alongside recognized leaders in the legal field and contribute to the mentorship of junior attorneys.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex civil litigation matters from inception through trial or settlement.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Argue motions and other case dispositions in Court.
- Provide effective and strategic legal advice to our clients.
- Conduct and manage all phases of discovery, including depositions, examinations, and witness preparation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.
- Participate in client meetings and prepare case analysis reports.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 4-10 years' experience in civil defense litigation or have completed a judicial clerkship.
- Previous Civil Defense Litigation experience preferred.
- Admitted to practice in the State of New York.
- Superior analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at MKCI Therefore, the firm requires working from the office at least 60% of the time in accordance with the firm s guidelines

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
