Job Description:

Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP) is looking for high-caliber candidates to serve as a Senior Associate of SIP. This position may be based out of SIP's Brooklyn office or SIP's Menlo Park office.

Background on SIP

SIP's mission is to pioneer the future of infrastructure and deliver long-term value and impact by harnessing the power of technology to improve infrastructure and make it more sustainable, resilient, and equitable. To achieve this mission, SIP applies a highly thematic, first-principles-driven approach to develop thoughtful, data-driven theses around technology's potential to transform infrastructure. SIP's theses are informed by extensive research, SIP's investor ecosystem, which includes drawing on the technical expertise and relationships of Alphabet Inc. and leveraging the portfolios and insights of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and StepStone Group, and the convening of SIP's network of engineers, policymakers, academics, and other thought leaders and experts across a space. Centered around these theses, SIP then builds and operates innovation platforms across various infrastructure verticals by incubating, acquiring, investing in, and developing both advanced infrastructure projects as well as the technologies to enable those projects.

About the Role

In light of SIP's unique thematic and transactional process, which spans both technology companies and venture/growth-style analysis and infrastructure assets and project finance underwriting, SIP is seeking intellectually curious, creative, thoughtful, and driven professionals who can contribute to all phases of the transactional process - from the formation of an initial thesis, to origination, diligence, structuring, rigorous analysis and underwriting, negotiation, and swift execution, through platform management and ongoing value creation. This role requires someone with high raw intelligence, innate curiosity, entrepreneurial work ethic, and the capacity to learn and adapt quickly.

This is a challenging and varied role with a significant opportunity to grow at the company. A Senior Associate at SIP will:

* Develop and evaluate thematic areas of technology development

* Provide rigorous financial analysis

* Prepare transactional memoranda

* Support commercial and other forms of due diligence

* Manage portfolio companies and projects

A successful candidate for the Senior Associate position is likely to:

* Be able to quickly develop domain expertise in new areas of technology, finance, and infrastructure

* Have 3-6 years of finance, investing, and/or technology experience in private equity, venture capital, project finance, principal investing, project development, or a technology product management, research, or development role

* Have expertise in advanced quantitative modeling and financial accounting

* Have experience with advanced technology and engineering related to infrastructure

* Have a demonstrated track record of exceptional academic and professional accomplishment

* Be able to thrive in a rigorous, analytical environment with high attention to detail

* Communicate precisely and effectively

* Be someone who adopts a firm-first mentality, is consistently rigorous in work product and analysis, fosters internal collaboration and mentorship, and embraces results-centered accountability

A bachelor's degree is required.

Compensation

The annual base salary for a Senior Associate at SIP is $175,000. Salary is only one part of SIP's comprehensive compensation package, which also includes discretionary bonus, generous health benefits and paid time off, and 401k participation with a company matching program. Senior members of the team may also be eligible to participate in SIP's equity incentive program.
