Essential Functions and Primary Duties
* Work on all aspects of audit engagements for clients. Including coordinating and planning various phases of an engagement.
* Evaluate high risk account balances, internal controls and organizational systems to review the audit program.
* Review work papers to determine that the audit or engagement was performed in accordance with GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
* Preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, schedules, and management letters for discussion with the client.
* Assign work to staff members and supervise them on audit projects and deliver counseling and evaluation reports for junior staff.
* Participate in professional development and training programs.
* Occasional travel to local client sites in the New England geographic area.
Minimum Qualifications Required
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation or related field, plus 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
* Prior experience must include 3 years of experience working with GAAP.
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $100,942 - $120,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
