The Senior Auditor - Data Analytics is responsible for data-driven audits surrounding financial, operational, and compliance based audits. The Senior Auditor will ensure processes and controls are effectively designed and functioning.

Client is a one of the largest, privately held, Food & Beverage companies looking to add to its Internal Audit Department.

Description

  • Lead and execute data-driven financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure processes and controls are effectively designed and functioning, with a focus on fraud prevention and compliance with internal policies and regulations
  • Compiles, cleans, and analyzes data to support project planning, fieldwork testing, and the development of data-driven audit and investigative tests, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Assists in the creation and execution of data-driven audit and investigative methodologies, contributing to the development of preliminary observations and insights.
  • Designs, maintains, and updates dashboards and reports to monitor key internal audit metrics and support continuous monitoring efforts.
  • Analyzes large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk areas, providing data-driven insights to enhance audit methodologies, investigative processes, and internal controls.
  • Monitor the remediation status of audit findings, discuss trends with process owners, and manage multiple time-sensitive, high-risk projects while meeting strict deadlines

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in areas of study such as Accounting, Finance or Business related.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in internal audit, data analysis, consulting, IT, or public accounting
  • At least 1 year of data analysis experience involving data processing, database programming, or data analytics
  • Experience with data analysis tools, reporting software, and/or scripting languages (Alteryx, PowerBI, IDEA, ACL, Cognos, SQL, VBA, R, Python, etc.)
  • Business process or operational audit background is a plus
