New York, Buffalo, United States of AmericaWe are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Automation Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing advanced automation solutions. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and streamlineprocesses across internal and client operations. You will play a key role in automating mission-critical systems and integrating multiple high-value platforms, driving innovation across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Advanced Automation & Scripting - Lead automation initiatives using PowerShell to optimize internal workflows and client processes. Develop scripts to collect data from various vendor APIs and integrate them into SQL databases for enhanced analytics and reporting.API Integration & Development - Design and maintain API integrations for key platforms such as ConnectWise, N-Able, Meraki, Fortinet, Barracuda, and Palo Alto. Utilize webhooks, REST APIs, and middleware platforms for real-time data synchronization and event-driven automation, ensuring seamless interoperability across systems.Platform Administration - Serve as the subject matter expert for platforms like N-Able, Meraki, and Fortinet, taking ownership of critical systems deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration. Ensure that automation solutions are designed to meet the specific requirements of these platforms.AI & Chatbot Development - Lead the development of chatbot solutions using the MS Bot Framework, integrating AI models like GPT-3.5/4 to create intelligent automation and support tools.Database & SQL Management - Write and optimize SQL queries to support automation workflows and manage large datasets for internal and client projects. Ensure data integrity and performance efficiency in automated data processing systems.Cross-Functional Expertise - Operate in multiple technical domains, including PowerShell Development, Systems Administration, SQL Database Administration, API Engineering, and Cyber Security Analysis.Who You Are:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development and automation experience in an MSP environment or a relevant IT setting.Deep proficiency in Python scripting and development.Expert-level knowledge of REST APIs - design, implementation, and consumption.Fluency in PowerShell and Bash scripting for cross-platform task automation.Solid grasp of Jinja templating concepts.Qualifications:Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting, automation, and API integration.Proven experience with API integration across major platforms, including ConnectWise, N-Able, Meraki, Fortinet, Barracuda, and Palo Alto.Deep knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms for real-time data synchronization and automation.Expertise in managing SQL databases and writing complex queries for automation and reporting purposes.Experience with AI technologies, including chatbot development using MS Bot Framework and advanced language models like GPT-3.5/4.Strong track record of successfully delivering complex automation projects that drive efficiency and innovation.Preferred Skills:In-depth experience with PowerShell Universal for API development.Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and integration with security platforms (e.g., SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, ProofPoint).Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.Experience working in a fast-paced managed services environment and managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.#J-18808-Ljbffr
