Description:
- The Contract Senior Benefit Specialist position will support the Total Rewards Analysts.
- This is a key role within the Human Resources department, responsible for the administration of our health and welfare benefits across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
- This position provides escalation support, which means knowledge of industry standards and compliance with federal and state regulations is essential.
- The Senior Benefits Analyst will work closely with our internal HR partners, finance, legal, etc. to administer benefits programs that align with company goals and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Partner with Total Reward Analysts (Benefit Analysts) to understand process and compliance
- Serve as point of contact for Tier 1 (Benefit Specialist) inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to Tier 2 (Benefit Analyst) ticket/cases
- Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate benefit data/deductions
- Respond to vendor and carrier inquiries
- Monitor and coordinate Knowledge Base Article updates
- Process invoices and work with vendors and internal department to answer inquiries and solution escalations
- Assist with all facets of annual enrollment and year-end processes including 1095 process
- Run/provide reports and perform audits as needed
- Assist with compiling data for survey completion
- Provide additional support as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years benefits administration
- 2+ years senior benefits administration
- Experience managing their-party vendors
- Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of benefit plans, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and ERISA required
- Working knowledge of FMLA, 401(k), Medicare, etc. preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems - Workday preferred.
- Experience with various benefit administration systems
- Strong analytical and project management skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Highly collaborative, ability to use independent judgment, prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to change while meeting deadlines
- Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
