Job Summary:Coordinates daily employee benefits activities under the direction of the Benefits Manager. Responsible for administering the EHS Income Replacement Benefit Plans including but not limited to the 403(b), 401(a), Defined Benefit Pension Plan, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability,and all Life & AD&D coverage.Education:Required:Graduate from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, personnel or human resource administration and an additional six or more years of Health and Welfare benefits experience.Preferred:N/AExperience:Required:Knowledge of comprehensive benefits programs. Six or more years of experience in a Health & Welfare administrator function. A general understanding of retirement plans and administration, voluntary benefits and time-off benefits. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Internet and PeopleSoft/Benefits Administration System. Present him/herself in a professional manner and work as a liaison with different levels of personnel internal and external to the organization and demonstrate integrity when interacting with all customer populations. He/she must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. The Sr. Benefits Analyst must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time, be able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines. The Sr. Analyst must maintain confidentiality in all matters and must promote teamwork in intra/interdepartmental relationships.Preferred:Six years or more of healthcare benefits department experience. Responsible for monitoring and administering EHS's income replacement benefits including the Defined Benefit Plan, Retirement Savings Plan, Disability Programs, and Life Insurance Programs, as well as other voluntary benefits. Has understanding of health and welfare benefit programs. Process payroll file feeds and other file interfaces with vendors. Assumes additional duties as directed by the Benefits Manager. Supervises activities of appropriate Benefits personnel in the absence of the Benefits Manager.Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, PeopleSoft the Erlanger Health System Benefit Calculation System, and SharePoint. Supports efficient operation of the Benefits Department. Completes special projects as requested by the Benefits Manager. Conducts benefit educational sessions for employees. Manifests and promotes professional behaviors, including courteous actions and appropriate presentation of self. Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Maintains confidentiality in all matters. Listens effectively in an effort to gain understanding for responding appropriately to needs presented. Promotes teamwork in intra/interdepartmental relationships. Demonstrates professional, tactful, and timely conflict-resolution skills. Exhibits personal integrity when interacting with all customer populations. Demonstrates loyalty to management and institutional goals, continually aware of role as marketing agent for Erlanger Health System. The Sr. Benefits Analyst performs difficult, complex, technical and/or specialized office support work, which requires the exercise of independent judgment, the application of technical skill and a detailed knowledge of the activities and procedures specific to benefits assigned.#remote'226576
