Senior BI Engineer12-Month ContractFully Remote$55-$70/hr In this opportunity, you will have the chance to work with one of the top streaming television services. You will report directly to the Director of BI Engineering and help improve business decision-making and product development through data modeling, data visualization, and BI solutions. Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and refine business intelligence solutions, encompassing data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Uphold data quality and integrity through the implementation of robust validation and monitoring procedures.
- Create and oversee intricate SQL queries, including those integral to ETL workflows.
- Establish and uphold industry best practices for the design, development, and support of BI solutions.
- Address and resolve operational challenges promptly, documenting and troubleshooting daily data issues.
- Process, cleanse, and validate data to ensure its suitability for analysis.
- Provide Tableau support, including training and access provisioning.
- Analyze extensive datasets to identify patterns and derive insights.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with expertise in data modeling and BI dashboard creation.
- Ability to design, develop, and manage SQL-based ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow, dbt, or Databricks.
- Proficiency in Tableau.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift).
- Experience working with large and complex datasets generated by websites and mobile/TV applications.
- Strong written and documentation skills for effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
