Summary/Objective:The Senior Boiler Service Technician will be responsible for the servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintenance of heating and cooling equipment and related systems for commercial/industrial customers.Essential Functions:Service boilers and equipment for commercial/industrial customersTroubleshoot, test, repair, maintain or modify heating systems and equipment including, but not limited to, high pressure steam, low pressure steam, and hot water systemsPerform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications requested by customersPrepare on-site installation and repairs - examining building layout, anticipating challenges, identifying materials, and coordinating on-site workDocument, complete, and maintain paperwork on each jobPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:3+ years of relevant experience cleaning and servicing boilers in a commercial/industrial environment; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience4+ years of practical experience in general HVAC workKnowledge of basic electricity and electrical control systemsUnderstanding of fuel oil, natural gas, and propaneMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsAbility to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematicsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history)Must adhere to all company policies and proceduresMust be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travel (typically not overnight)Preferred:HS diploma or GED equivalentKnowledge of HVAC 20's equipmentJourneyman's or Master licensePrior military experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
