We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for projects including conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion. You will assist or lead the design of assigned task of bridge projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness. The position involves the development of bridge analysis, bridge design, culvert design and retaining wall design and layouts.Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations.* Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.* Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations, load rating analyses.* Successfully interface with staff from other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil etc.) to support a range of bridge projects.QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures. Masters Degree preferred.* 8-12+ years of bridge design and analysis experience.* NY and/or NJ PE license, or the ability to obtain one within one year is preferred.* Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality.* Familiarity with AASHTO and NYSDOT design and standards preferred.* Computer skills desired include Bridge Design Software, Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation preferred).* Familiarity with developing bridge analysis models.Additional InformationTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,300 - $175,900 annually for this position and local market.
