Job Description:
Doran Jones is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join a team of talented professionals and guide the progress of an ambitious redevelopment program and digital transformation of our client's core services. As part of this digital transformation, this role will initially focus on developing a brand-new digital content delivery platform from the ground up. Responsibilities
    • Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders and become an invaluable, trusted partner.
    • Quickly establish a strong grasp of the business including its customers, products, and services offered. Maintain an ongoing awareness of the department's strategy and business objectives. Help the business identify unmet opportunities, propose new solutions, and draft initial specifications.
    • Analyze the business strategy and break it down into major components and sets of features required to deliver services. Then, break down the components and features into detailed functional requirements for the digital content delivery platform.
    • Proactively drive timely prioritization decisions, generating momentum and offering constructive suggestions.
    • Ensure clear communication with technical and non-technical teams, avoiding misunderstandings and addressing issues early. Foster, enhance, and maintain an open and collaborative team environment.
    • Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, support the QA team in understanding user stories, and collaborate with the design team to align user experience with business needs.
    • Leverage your strong experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like Jira to manage tasks and ensure progress.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency of requirements gathering and analysis.
Required Experience
    • 7+ years in a Business Analyst role in a digital environment, preferably within the e-commerce domain.
    • Proven ability to quickly understand complex business needs.
    • Proven ability in business process design and business workflow analysis
    • Strong experience documenting web-based systems and integration between enterprise systems, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and creating process flows and diagrams.
    • Expertise in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology.
    • Experience working with multiple data sources and collaborating with development, QA, and design teams.
    • Understanding of best practices in Digital UI/UX design.
    • Experience with marketing, sales, e-commerce teams, and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Lucid Charts.
    • Familiarity with modern cloud-native technologies such as Microservices and Containers.
Preferred Experience
    • Experience with Microsoft CRM is a plus.
    • Relevant Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are strongly preferred.
