Abaco provides Information Technology and Consulting Services to Commercial customers and the Federal Government. We deliver technology-enabled, results-oriented solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to support our ongoing projects with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business process reengineering, IT business analysis, and IT regulatory compliance.Location : RemoteKey Responsibilities:Business Process Reengineering: Lead efforts to document, analyze, and redesign business processes to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize Abaco's Rapid Process (RAP) methodology to model business processes visually and facilitate process improvements.Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements. Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps and perform gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.Regulatory Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with IT Federal mandates, including Executive Orders, OMB Circulars, and other guidance. Maintain a SharePoint-based CIO Mandates List and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC): Support FERC's CPIC processes by managing the lifecycle of IT investments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and preparing necessary documentation for the IT Investment Review Board.Project Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement business process changes and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Provide project management support, including developing project plans, schedules, and status reports.Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate collaborative sessions with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define business processes, roles, responsibilities, and supporting policies.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed business process documentation, including process narratives, procedures, and technical specifications. Develop and deliver presentations and reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in information systems management, Business Administration, or a related field.Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent agile certification.Over 10 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, and regulatory compliance within a federal contracting environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of enhancing productivity and quality.Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio for process mapping.Familiarity with federal IT mandates and compliance requirements.Public Trust Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Teams for document management and collaboration.Preferred:Experience with FERC or similar regulatory agencies.Experience with data modeling and visualization tools such as Power BI.Abaco is an EOE/Affirmative Action Employer.
