Our operations span North America with over 28,000 employees at close to 1,600 locations in 43 US States and 2 Canadian provinces.Position OverviewThe IT Senior Business Data Analyst will collaborate with Business and Information Technology stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the structure, policies and operations across the organization to ensure delivery of high performing customer facing technology solutions. This individual will work in Data and Analytics organization (DnA) and report to the Atlanta Corporate office in a hybrid capacity.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Leadership Functions
  • Accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the team
  • Develop and explicitly communicate the Product goal
  • Create and clearly communicate the Product Backlog items and Project requirements
  • Ordering the Product Backlog items
  • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood
  • Foster Teamwork across teams
  • Puts the team before themselves
Business Data Analyst Functions
  • Manage project requirements from initiation through definition of done including: managing scope, resolving roadblocks, eliciting and delivering requirements, communication, testing, and training while promoting best practices and standards.
  • Engage with all project stakeholders both internally and externally including Executive and IT Management, Project Sponsor, Product Owner, Subject Matter Experts and additional required resources to continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships
  • Responsible for eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process mapping and descriptions, build vs buy analysis, task and workflow analysis for critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Create and deliver artifacts derived from functional requirements utilizing: Business Requirement Documents, Diagrams, User Stories and Mockups for development and subject matter acceptance to establish the technical vision and balance usability and performance needs
  • Clearly communicate to and share accountability for project results, progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics with all project stakeholders
  • Assist in coordination, leading and/or participating in the testing process and UAT
  • Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on the user requirements
  • Capture simple to complex business logic and transformation calculations and translate them to overall project deliverables
  • Generate data lineage and Transformations logic from industry standard ETL tools and add that as part of the playbook
  • Capture Data Quality rules and provide to development team to be included for reconciliation process
  • Create and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights
  • Assist Product Owner with user story creation and backlog management ( Service to the Product Owner )
  • Assist Product Owner and Lead Developer in executing showcases
  • Responsible for developing internal and external communications related to releases and product demos
Education/ExperienceQualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) a plus
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a plus
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO) a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or computer science
  • 5-7 years' experience eliciting and documenting requirements, including business requirements, functional requirements & technical requirements.
  • 3+ Years of experience writing SQL queries for data analysis
  • 3+ Years of experience working as a business analyst in Data and Analytics organizations.
  • Experience working on Cloud Datawarehouse platform (Snowflake, Azure Synapse etc.)
  • PC skills and hands-on experience building tools and presentations with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
Work Requirements
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must be available to travel up to 10%
