The Senior Business Development Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Business Development and work closely with other Client Development departments on a global basis as needed.Responsibilities
  • Conduct and analyze client, prospect, industry and market research and help identify trends and opportunities across various practice areas and working groups.
  • Work with the senior team and practice leadership to develop and implement Firm initiatives, and practice/industry strategic plans and campaigns to cultivate new and existing business.
  • Recommend and facilitate opportunities to enhance both individual lawyers and practices, and increase the Firm's visibility with target clients.
  • Liaise with departments and practices to support cross-selling opportunities.
  • Assist with new business presentations, proposals and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate and manage submissions for legal directories, awards and industry-related guides; act as point of contact for lawyers.
  • Manage the editorial calendar(s) and process for various practice-related blogs, client alerts and newsletters.
  • Collect, organize and maintain client lists, industry experience and related matter data in the Firm's experience database.
  • Coordinate follow-up and continued tracking of prospects and opportunities.
  • Update and maintain brochures, reprints and other marketing collateral to highlight the Department's strengths, developments and successes.
  • Work with communications team and/or relevant office BD teams to ensure significant matters are publicized externally and internally and look for opportunities to raise the external profiles of specific practices and individuals.
  • Work with the events team in the planning and execution of seminars, conferences and other Firm-sponsored events.
  • Work with senior team to Identify target prospects in attendance and ensure that attending attorneys are fully briefed as to who will be in attendance/where the best opportunities lie.
  • Work with the CRM team to maintain client contact information and mailing lists.
  • Help repurpose and develop content for digital channels to ensure leading individuals and practices within various practice areas have website prominence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role in an industry or professional services firm.
  • Ability to understand the legal/business environment, including industry and related practice terminology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow through.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic team player; client service oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as the use of firm databases, tools and resources.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands, and evolve with position as required.
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000.
