Responsibilitiesarrow_right

* Execute the completion of the supplier management cycle, including identification and validation of new sources, ongoing performance management, corrective action, and supplier phase out, as required.

* Develop and implement strategies by building a strong working knowledge of market conditions as well as intimate knowledge of suppliers, product offerings and manufacturing processes.

* Drive cost reduction/continuous improvement projects to meet or improve standard cost targets, purchase price variance goals, quality targets, and service levels.

* Select appropriate methods for procuring materials to maximize flexibility and minimize acquisition costs and risks.

* Negotiate pricing and terms for mutual best advantage, document agreements and monitor performance.

* Resolve delivery, quality issues, service, and cost through problem solving and supplier performance improvements.

* Assist in identification and elimination of non-value-added steps in the supply chain.

* Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers both domestically and internationally.

Qualificationsarrow_right

* Bachelors Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Materials Management/Procurement or Engineering. 5-10+ years of Sourcing experience, preferably of Mechanical components / Chemicals. CPIM, Lean Systems or Six-Sigma certification a plus.

* Demonstrates excellent project management, analytical, organization and negotiation skills. Manages broad range of tasks, which include complex day-to-day sourcing activities for given item types/ suppliers.

* Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects from start to finish and complete work with speed and accuracy within established timeframe and adapt to changing business environments.

* Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business environments.

* Experience in dealing with distributors and production suppliers. Develops and launches new suppliers/ projects.

* Able to evaluate suppliers' processes and capabilities. Responsible for managing and solving complex topics related to Supplier Management, Continuation of Supply, & Savings initiatives. Team player and self-initiative..

* Fully versed in ERP Software (Preferably SAP), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, & Access). Expertise in working with spreadsheets and strong understanding of financial concepts and data.
