SENIOR BUYER POSITION - NOT REMOTE

Responsible for purchasing direct materials and finished goods as business activity dictates and will also perform special purchasing tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor.

Identifying purchasing product and service's needs, securing and analyzes quotations, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, selecting and validating new sources, entering purchase orders, expediting orders, and monitoring inventory.

Limited international or domestic travel required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or procurement and 4 or more years of purchasing or materials management in a manufacturing environment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong mathematical aptitude. Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and business systems knowledge software.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge and understanding of material requirements planning systems (preferably JD Edwards or SAP).

* Certified Purchasing Manager

* APICS Certification

* Understanding of ISO 9001:2015

Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Offer excellence in customer service. Must be able to build relationships and communicate professionally with the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
