Summary: Conducts chemical quality control, formulation problem solving and reformulation, research, analysis, synthesis, and experimentation on substances, for such purposes as product manufacturing, product and process development and application, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and improvement of analytical methodologies.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: - Perform work according to written formulas, lab work orders, and prescribed procedures- Test material within specific time elements- Operate precision measurement instruments, such as Luminance Colormeter, Spotmeter, HPLC, or GC- Develop and adjust formulas- Maintain log of measurement and observation data- Other tasks as requiredQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Mathematical skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Reasoning ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, and so on) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Other skills and abilities: Ability to maintain clear communications and cooperative working relationships with co-workers. Working hours: Monday - Friday typically 7:00am - 3:00pm ESTCompensation: $80,000 - $90,000 base salary + Bonus + 401K Match + Full Comprehensive Benefits Package!
