LATG is proud to support the MyNavy HR Transformation Program, an ambitious initiative to modernize the Navy's HR systems by transitioning 200+ legacy applications to an innovative, cloud-based architecture comprised of five systems: Single Point of Entry (SPOE), Enterprise Custom.Role Overview:We're seeking a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and maintain critical web-based applications that will form the backbone of the modernized MyNavy HR ecosystem. In this role, you'll collaborate with development teams to uphold DevSecOps best practices, optimize system performance, and ensure robust, secure solutions in a cloud-first environment.Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, web-based applications in alignment with modernization goals.
- Actively collaborate with application development teams to optimize DevOps workflows, tools, and standards.
- Design and implement advanced security solutions in integrated development environments.
- Conduct security scanning, remediation, release management, and operational support.
- Deliver both front-end and back-end solutions leveraging AWS in a cloud-based environment.
What You Bring:Required Skills & Experience
- Expertise in DevSecOps principles and their practical application.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Java, JavaScript, SQL, Spring Boot, Oracle, HTML, JQuery, Bootstrap.
- Experience with AWS for secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Navy Data or other defense-related systems.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Certifications in Agile, SAFe, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Atlassian JIRA.
Eligibility Requirements
- A DOD Top Secret Clearance is mandatory for this position.
