Job Title: Senior Console OperatorJob Type: Full Time; ContractLocation: Alpharetta, GASchedule: 1st ShiftPay Rate: $23.30 per hourWe are seeking a dedicated Senior Console Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will monitor and respond to events on consoles, troubleshoot and resolve mainframe and production control incidents, and collaborate with support teams to maintain a seamless 24x7 operational environment. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, an organized work approach, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Monitor the production environment for alerts and incidents.Respond to and document incidents, ensuring proper resolution within the trouble ticketing system.Provide customer support and interact with infrastructure vendors to resolve technical issues.Support daily operations and implement production system schedule changes while adhering to change control guidelines.Collaborate with Information Services (I.S.) teams to manage incidents and troubleshoot production issues.Administer and support basic change control procedures.Ensure compliance with established protocols, working under general supervision.Participate in a rotating shift schedule every four months (First Shift: 06:30 – 15:15, Second Shift: 14:30 – 23:15).Travel in a personal vehicle is not required or allowed.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.Beginner knowledge of Zone of Separation Environment (Z/OS) with an understanding of Data Communications, DB2 Data Sharing, and Tivoli.Intermediate proficiency with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Time Sharing Option (TSO), Job Control Language (JCL), Virtual Telecommunications Access Method (VTAM), and Web Sphere.Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Excellent analytical skills, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.At least 1-2 years of leadership experience in a network operations center, with demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting multi-protocol router-based networks, traffic analysis, and resolving connectivity issues using TCP/IP applications.This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, results-driven team where you can make a significant impact on our organization's operational success.
