Do you desire the opportunity to become a key team member for a young, but growing firm who is expanding services into Washington State? proHNS LLC is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring heavy civil, building, site development, utility, aviation, natural gas, or transportation construction projects conform to the Owner's plans and specifications. The successful candidate shall communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with the public, contractors, owners, and permitting agency representatives. As an example, responsibilities for this position on a civil construction project may include inspection of excavation and fill operations, concrete forms and pours, site grading, asphalt paving, water & sewer utility installation, and other activities. The Senior Construction Inspector must perform some administrative tasks such as the measurement and tracking of pay/work quantities, review and tracking of submittals or source documents, and preparation of daily reports (electronic) to reflect construction progress. The Senior Construction Inspector will often work without direct oversight for extended periods and must be comfortable with daily travel (and sometimes weekly) to support assigned projects. The Ideal Senior Construction Inspector Will:
- Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with proHNS policies & procedures.
- Effectively communicate with teams of engineers, inspectors, subconsultants, contractors, subcontractors, owners, and other representatives.
- Bring experience on airport, highway, bridge, utility, and/or building projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge of special inspection requirements, testing procedures, traffic control management, and/or erosion and sediment control best practices.
- Have worked for or on behalf of Municipal, Tribal, State or Federal agencies.
- Be familiar with WSDOT LAG Manual, municipal/county codes, or similar.
- Possess at least 15 years of experience in construction, project management, inspection, materials testing, construction surveying, engineering, or equivalent. In lieu of some experience, formal education in construction management, construction technologies or engineering may be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15 years of construction experience (or experience plus education) in similar roles.
- Proficient understanding of and skills in computers and programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, Adobe, cloud-based filing systems, and online time reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend permits, codes, specifications, and plans.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- 3 professional references.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.

Possess close vision and the ability to adjust focus in support of plan and specification reading. Ability to clearly hear and speak to communicate project requirements.
