We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Construction Manager to lead the growth of the Construction Management Division into a comprehensive Construction Outsource Services division. This pivotal role will drive the strategic direction and operational excellence of our construction management projects, aligning with the company's overall vision and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Lead client acquisition and retention through strong processes and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and improve systems, policies, and procedures for the CM Division, and for the Company overall for review and approval.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Additional job duties:
- Evaluate the quantification of the CM Division Strategic Indicators and report variances.
- Evaluate the performance and results of the CM Division.
- Support team members in achieving the company's strategic objectives by educating them in the E-Myth Management Systems.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create a successful marketing strategy.
- Distribute project workload among the division's project managers and superintendents.
- Review all project cost reports, document and report variances.
- Prepare/review Requests for Proposals and participate in project presentations.
- Participate in new project contract negotiations; review and approve all fees and fee structures.
- Review and approve front-end modifications.
- Review and approve all project budgets, estimates and contracts.
- Review and monitor project schedules.
- Review and monitor division payables and receivables, approve all division expenses and requests for manual checks.
- Resolve conflicts with both external and internal clients by use of the Key Frustration Process and mentoring.
- Monitor client satisfaction to assure positive client fulfillment and provide follow-up services to ensure top notch client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or related field; or training and work experience that equates to an advanced degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
