Job Title: Senior Project Manager Location: Mount Vernon, NY / Field-Assigned Project Sites within the 5 NYC Boroughs Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with experience in managing large, complex construction projects, particularly within the commercial construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets all safety and quality standards. Candidates must have experience in project delivery methods such as CM At-Risk, Lump Sum, or Design-Build and be able to commute to the company's Mount Vernon, NY office or assigned project sites within the 5 NYC Boroughs.   • Oversee all aspects of the jail project, including planning, execution, and completion, ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, and subcontractors, managing all project communications.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, correspondence, and updates to clients, senior management, and project teams.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective project execution.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet established targets.
  • Negotiate changes to project scope with clients and key subcontractors, ensuring mutual agreement on adjustments.
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including design and construction documents, engineering submittals, RFIs, and work plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and project execution plans.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, working closely with the team to resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and represent the company in public meetings and project reviews.
  • Utilize industry-standard project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera/P6) to track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of project management experience, particularly in commercial, civil construction, bridges, or structural projects.
  • Strong familiarity with CM At-Risk, Lump Sum, and Design-Build delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects ($3 million+), particularly in rehabilitation or replacement of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multiple trades and project elements.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, MS Project, and Primavera/P6.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex project details to clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
  • 30 OSHA certification preferred.
  • Ability to manage risk, adapt to changing project requirements, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $205,000 - $270,000, depending on experience.
