As our new Senior Consultant, you will be working closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on ecology projects as well as the opportunity to be involved in a variety of environmental investigation/remediation, environmental compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice.   • At least a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering or Environmental Science and 4-8 years experience in the planning and design of Stormwater Management projects, including project analysis and evaluation studies.
  • Professional Engineer or other professional certification preferred but not required.
  • The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.
  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
  • Proactive on assignments and demonstrate initiative.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics preferred.
  • Experience in any of the following: stormwater management, stormwater pollution prevention plan development, any phase of civil design, project planning, calculations, report writing.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • OSHA 40 certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design and permitting efforts for a variety of industrial stormwater and water resources.
  • Monitoring the construction phase of projects.
  • Supporting stormwater management programs.
  • Conducting sampling and inspection events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settings.
  • Performing engineering calculations.
  • Assisting senior staff with the preparation of technical reports, including compiling analytical data.
  • Conducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.).
  • Working with a team of water resources engineers and environmental scientists.
