The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparing Federal and State Income Tax, Tax Provision, along with some experience in Sales & Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, and Payment Processing with an understanding of International Tax. Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP is needed. **Title:** Senior Corporate Tax Analyst
**Position Location/Comments:** Organization is based in Akron, OH. The Tax Director lives in Milwaukee, WI. T **his position can be 100% remote, but this individual will need to be locally located in either Ohio, or Wisconsin, or close by and able to travel into either location for necessary meetings (minimal).**

**THIS IS A CONTRACT to HIRE POSITION (may be open to doing a direct hire for the right candidate)**
**Salary:** $120,000 - $155,000 per year - may have flexibility depending on depth of experience.

**Job Responsibilities** **:**
1. Gather data for the Income Tax returns and provide that information to EY who prepares and files the returns. None of this is documented anywhere. There may not be consistent workpapers for this either.
2. Pull data from SAP for the VAT returns and provide the data to EY, who prepares and files the VAT returns.
3. Pull data from SAP to file the Sales & Use returns. No in-house software - all returns are filed on the state websites. This is a manufacturer, so not a lot of Sales Tax is due. This person will also need to create workpapers for the Sales & Use returns so there is something for the Tax Director to review and approve. Currently, there is no trail to explain how the returns are being filed.
4. Prepare and file property tax returns - probably minimal.
5. There is no tax process, either documented or understood, currently. Only whatever the current consultant has been doing and documented. The processes need to be defined and documented for everything - Income Tax, Sales & Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, Payment Processing.
6. Create a Tax Calendar.
7. Create a tracking log for notices and to resolve the notices for Income Tax and Sales & Use Tax.
8. Able to assist with preparing the Provision. This is an annual process right now. The organization is a calendar year-end, so this is not needed until January.
9. The domestic entities are in a loss with a full valuation allowance. Filing in a few states. There is no tracking of attributes - NOLs, credits, etc. A schedule needs to be created. They are expected to be a taxpayer in the next 5 years or so.
10. There are several foreign locations, run by local plant controllers. EY files all the foreign returns but need someone who understands the international tax world enough to understand transfer pricing implications, need to create a tracking schedule for all the foreign returns, perhaps review foreign tax calculations for year-end provision. It's unsure if there is a process for this currently. The foreign jurisdictions are profitable.
11. Tax accounts have not been reconciled in at least 2 years. A thorough review needs to be completed for both foreign and domestic.
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
+ SAP experience is very important and **REQUIRED** . (Training cannot be provided)
+ Excellent communication skills **REQUIRED** - This individual will need to be constant communication with the Tax Director to communicate progress.
+ Ultimately, the Tax Director wants to bring all the compliance in-house. This Tax Director is more of a big picture person - she's not the primary preparer of anything. **We need a very strong preparer.** Someone who knows what the processes should be and can work with the Tax Director to implement those processes.
