Senior CRM Data Steward
Cooley is seeking a Senior CRM Data Steward to join the IS Legal Competitive & Intelligence/Market Data Management team.
Position summary: Under the supervision of the CRM Systems Manager, the Senior CRM Data Steward will carry out all necessary tasks to manage the data quality within the firm's CRM including: routine reporting, research, cleansing and de-duplication. Additionally, the role will be tasked with establishing quality expectations, and enforcing standards and best practices, as well as management of ERM portal/program and monitoring of global privacy compliance. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position responsibilities:
- Work closely with CRM Systems Manager to establish data quality rules and processes to remove duplicate data, cleanse inaccurate data, standardize data entries
- Oversee day-to-day CRM data entries and function, including data transfer in and out of CRM system, validating accounts and contacts
- Aide Enterprise and Legal Intelligence teams in the population of research into CRM database
- Assist in the building and collection of reports for maintenance of key marketing initiatives and processes
- Research and monitor anti-spam laws and privacy regulations globally to ensure compliance and advise on documentation and implementation of tracking/monitoring systems for existing and incoming data
- Perform daily CRM maintenance and project-based tasks, including resolving data issues, running data quality searches taking additional external research steps, as needed
- Identify, match and resolve duplicate records using Salesforce native matching programs and 3rd party programs (DemandTools by Validity)
- Follow CRM data entry processes, including entering and validating accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, experience and other client information
- Monitor CRM integrations to maintain the data integrity and ensure the that the Pitchbook/Salesforce synchronization is optimized
- Assist with data transfers between CRM systems, Outlook and other tools as necessary
- Coordinate performance metrics, including understanding of mitigating bounce backs and spam blocks
- Perform root cause analyses of issues and ensure remediation according to data management policies and standards
- Develops implement and maintain data quality processes, training, and reference materials
- All other duties as assigned or required
Skills and experience:
Required:
- After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
- Available to work overtime, as required
- 4+ years experience in CRM databases, preferably in Salesforce.com
- Work more independently, demonstrate escalating ownership and mastery of assigned area, exhibit strength in the areas below, become a resource and mentor to others and more as they progress in different roles within the department
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field
- Experience in a professional services or law firm environment
- Previous experience using DemandTools
- Salesforce Administrator and Developer Certifications

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $32.00 - $47.00. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
