Be part of our community that recognizes achievements, promotes from within, and receive meaningful benefits which focus on your physical, mental, and financial well-being.www.gen2fund.comWhat's the role?We are looking for our first Data Engineer to develop the data capability at Gen II through driving high impact initiatives, initially aligned to the Finance function.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data engineering and experience working and communicating with business stakeholders. At Gen II you will be building on a newly established data platform, initially to support the financial planning and analytics team to drive better commercial decision making, but quickly extending into other areas across all business functions at Gen II.This role provides opportunities to grow and shape the data function as it expands to be cross-functional and drive business insights across the business.Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Building and maintaining a best-in-class data platform built on Snowflake and dbt.
  • Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines, from source systems (Intacct, Salesforce, etc.) to end consumers primarily in Power BI.
  • Identifying and prioritizing future use-cases for data products in Gen II.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with security and organizational standards are maintained within the boundaries of the data platform.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by the Finance Team.
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar/ related discipline.
  • 4+ years' experience in data engineering, primarily working with cloud data warehouses and data pipelines.
    • 2+ years Snowflake experience is required.
    • dbt, SQL or similar Data Transformation/ Data Modelling experience is required.
    • Must have experience with Data Ingestion.
  • Knowledge & understanding of data architecture and modelling including the implementation of enterprise security and governance.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commercial understanding of the value of data and potential use cases it underpins.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate's experience level.Work ArrangementAll applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
