You will be at the forefront of our data-driven decision-making process, working with cutting-edge technologies to deliver insights that drive our mission of improving health outcomes.Responsibilities:As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the following areas:
- Design, build, and manage our data infrastructure using Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other leading technologies.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and data sets using Python, SQL, and Apache.
- Utilize Fivetran, Delta Lake, and other tools to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data throughout our systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create and maintain optimal data delivery architecture.
- Develop and implement data governance and security measures.
- Use Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools to create insightful, user-friendly interfaces for our data.
- Develop and maintain JAR (Java Archive) files and related applications.
- Continuously evaluate and identify ways to improve our data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to understand and address their data needs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations and apply this knowledge to your work.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Senior Data Engineer position will have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years' experience in a Data Engineer or similar role (9 years' experience for non-degreed).
- Proven experience with Azure, Python, Delta Lake, Fivetran, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Power BI, Tableau, JAR, SQL, Java Archive, Apache, or
equivalent technologies.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures.
- Strong knowledge of data management principles, including data governance and data security.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred, but not required.
