POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Data Engineering Specialist {Digital Teams- Customer Data Platform} plays a crucial role in the design, development, deployment, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all data feeds and structures within Nespresso US's Customer Data Platform (CDP). This position is responsible for monitoring data feeds, ensuring data accuracy and performance, and implementing automation for data transformation. Additionally, the Senior Specialist Data Engineer will design data connections and models within the CDP to meet the business requirements. Collaboration with the Data Capabilities Manager is essential for prioritizing data feeds, developing use cases, and managing changing priorities. This is a hybrid position based in our corporate office in Manhattan, NYC. The role requires working onsite for 2 days (typically Tuesday + Thursday) , while the remaining days can be worked remotely. RESPONSIBILITIES: Segment CDP SME:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining data integrations, data models, reporting connections, and audiences to be utilized by the Digital Commerce, Media and CRM/CXM teams
  • Responsible for utilizing coding and programming expertise to create data integrations and data structures within a CDP context. This includes designing and building data schemas to support various strategies for secure data ingestion, transformation, automation, reporting, and modeling
  • Ensures that the CDP integrations are optimized for performance and scalability to accommodate future growth, to include being familiar with techniques for handling diverse data types and structures effectively
Project Management:
  • Manage competing timelines and priorities
  • Responsible for understanding business needs and strategic impact of projects
  • Build project timelines and project plans to manage key stakeholders & interim deadlines for on-time delivery
  • Evaluate potential risks and hedge accordingly
Stakeholder Management:
  • Translates business needs into detailed requirements for technical teams
  • Communicates data management process into non-technical language
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree required with a focus on Computer Science, Statistics, or similar field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering leader, ideally 2 - 3 years working in a Martech, ecommerce or digital engineering role
  • 2+ years' experience in JavaScript, React + NodeJS, Cloud systems (Azure,GCP)
  • Experience using Python, R, SQL and other scripting languages
  • Experience in Agile Product Management, with strong preference for utilizing CDP tools such as Segment, PloomReach, Telium, etc.
  • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office Suite
  • Project Management skills with the ability to manager competing and parallel project demands collaborating with varied stakeholders ( Sales, Marketing, IT, etc.)
  • Qualitative analytical ability and familiarity with A/B testing
  • Working knowledge of various Marketing disciplines: customer segmentation, Email/SMS programs, social media, paid media, call center operations

  • Excellent communication (oral & written) , organizational, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured and process oriented
  • Strong problem solving mentality with continuous improvement mindset
  • Possess strong analytical skills, be a self-starter, demonstrate pragmatism and flexibility, & be focused on delivering results within specified timeframes

The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000- $150,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
