Full Job Description: Senior Data Strategist Salary Grade: Business Grade 09/ EG-09 Tulsa Public Schools' existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary: Data Strategists will work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment as part of a centralized data team to improve access to and the use of data across our school sites and central office teams. Strategists will develop data pipelines; complete rigorous statistical analyses; and facilitate the use of data via dashboards, reports, presentations for customized support leaders/teams. The role will be project-based with the focus shifting from project to project. The Senior Data Strategist will work collaboratively with the centralized data team to improve the district's access to quality data and the team's overall effectiveness. Compared to the Data Strategist the Senior Data Strategist will work with systems leaders to develop systems, tools, and processes to improve the end user experience for all data consumers across the district. The senior data strategist will support the development and guidance of the data team with a focus on creating a learning and high performing organization. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in areas of data engineering, data analysis, and data strategy, with expert specialization in at least one category and a demonstrated ability to support the growth of peers on the team. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in area of mathematics, statistics, economics or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Five years full-time work experience in the education or quantitative science field
  • Three years working in a data related role
