MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Senior Dayforce Consultant

The Senior Dayforce Consultant will be the internal lead and techno-functional expert in utilizing best practices in payroll and HR processes on the Dayforce platform. The role will work with the HR and Payroll team to improve the business process, be hands-on in making technical and configuration changes, and review and support the delivery of new processes and technical requests. This role will work with our external IT Dayforce support partner on more complicated support issues. The role will support business case justification, prioritizing of requirements, supporting training for the rollout of new capabilities, and some project management support.

This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications and is based in Houston, Texas.

SKILLS & CRITICAL TASKS

  • Strong hands-on experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) payroll and HR tools – ability to make configuration changes and review/support customizations.
  • Strong experience in creating new reports in Dayforce.
  • Hands-on experience in organizing, leading, and supporting testing efforts in Dayforce.
  • Experience in integrations with Dayforce and financial systems (Dynamics 365 a plus) – ability to review, test, and support configuration changes.
  • Experience working with HR leadership on business process improvements.
  • Experience collecting business user requirements for IT efforts from HR.
  • Expert at working with system stakeholders to support new enhancement/functionality requests; business-value-based prioritization and justification; rollout mapping; and change management planning.
  • Experience in O&G, Industrial Services, Manufacturing, Construction, or a similar industry.
  • Familiar with data lake concepts – Dayforce will feed a data lake, PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to document processes, guides, and training materials – including communication of changes and end-user training.
  • Ability to communicate both technically and at a senior business level, translating the technical to the non-technical and vice-versa.
  • Team player/leader who takes initiative, is well organized and process-driven, understands the need to prioritize and how to do so, strives for continuous improvement, able to think flexibly and act independently, challenge bravely and positively, and can counsel and support the IT team on enhancing system capabilities to support the business.
