Job Title: Sr DB2 DBA with HADR and Q- Replication Location: NYC, NYMust work 4 months on site, then can work remote.looking for: A highly experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) databases. Candidates who have worked extensively in the US and possess recent experience in the banking or brokerage sector. Professionals with specific certifications and technical skills, particularly in IBM DBA/DB2 LUW, and extensive hands-on experience with DB2 versions 9.7 and 10.5. Expertise in High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR), Q-Replication, IBM Change Data Capture, and salt scripting.Database Administration and Support: This project involves the build-out, maintenance, and support of DB2 LUW databases. It includes capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning, monitoring, security configuration, automation of tasks, performance tuning, problem diagnosis, and resolution.Skills Candidates Should Have: Experience:
- 8+ years of DBA experience with US companies.
- 4+ years of recent banking or brokerage experience.
Certifications: Valid IBM DBA/DB2 LUW certification.Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with DB2 LUW versions 9.7 and 10.5.
- Experience with HADR and Q-Replication.
- IBM Change Data Capture experience.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tools.
- Experience with salt scripting.
- ETL process administration and troubleshooting for decision support stores and data warehouses.
