Job Description:

The Senior Designer will have ownership of mens design in activewear and active lifestyle apparel for an industry leading brand. They will work closely with the Design Director as well as teams such as Technical Design, Product Development, Production, and Graphic Design to ensure that we are bringing the best design solutions to life. This dynamic individual will articulate a clear point of view on product while being considerate of brand history, identity, product strategy, and overall company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process from conception through to final production samples
  • Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques and seek design inspiration
  • Develop product design ideas from concept through final garment
  • Develop ideation from color, fabric, fit, trim, construction, and detail
  • Sketch design concepts
  • Select fabrics and trims
  • Create PLM tech packs
  • Follow brand standards and actively evolve brand taste and quality
  • Present seasonal product concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Leverage eye for building timeless, quality essentials and understanding of how to balance on trend fashion items
  • Ensure the product is consistent with the business strategy
  • Communicate with international sample room in the sample development process
  • Problem-solve product development issues
  • Review product for style and fit during fit presentations
  • Lead, develop, and encourage the growth of future new members of the Design team

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Design experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • Proven design expertise within men's apparel and activewear
  • Knowledge of fabrications, trims, and apparel construction
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop skills
  • PLM experience a plus
  • Experience working in Excel
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Annual salary range starting at $90,000

The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package. Our associates have access to other valuable benefits that our Human Resources team is happy to share with candidates during the interview process.
