Job Description:

Summary:

Julie Hillman Design, a high end residential Interior Design firm, seeks a Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a background in residential Interior Design with strong project management skills and experience working with high quality vendors, suppliers and service providers. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and with excellent communication skills. You will assist with all stages of projects, from concept and design development, managing client and vendor relations, through final installation and styling. The role will manage 2 to 3 designers and work closely with all team members on multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source all FF+E including furniture, window treatments, fabrics, wall covering or other wall treatments, lighting, flooring, decorative treatments, art and accessories.
  • Create client presentations and digital design boards.
  • Schedule and attend all client meetings, including project site visits and design meetings.
  • Represent the firm at meetings with architects, contractors and vendors.
  • Manage issues with contractors, vendors and clients.
  • Identify and document problems and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Manage and delegate to the design team clearly and effectively.
  • Supervise installations supervision while managing vendors and suppliers to meet all decorating deliverables and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience with a residential Interior Design firm
  • Degree in Interior Design preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and Design Manager Software
  • Knowledgeable of the vendor and supplier market
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Willingness to initiate tasks and perform duties with little supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude

We offer a competitive salary between $115,000 and $135,000 along with a benefits package including health and vision insurance, PTO, 401k and matching. To apply please send a cover letter, resume, and design portfolio.
