Senior Desktop/Systems Engineer (Thin Client Specialist)

Location: Austin TX 2 days remote 3 on-site

Reports to: IT Manager

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Engineer with expertise in managing and supporting thin client environments, specifically with HP and Dell technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, system configuration, and network management. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of thin client systems while providing excellent support to end-users.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Thin Client Management:**

- Configure, deploy and maintain HP and Dell thin clients.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to thin client hardware and software.

- **User Support:**

- Provide technical support to end-users for thin client setups and applications.

- Assist with onboarding new users and provide training on thin client usage.

- **System Administration:**

- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for thin client environments.

- Manage software installations, updates, and patching for thin clients.

- **Networking:**

- Collaborate with network teams to ensure reliable connectivity for thin client devices.

- Diagnose and resolve network-related issues affecting thin clients.

- **Documentation:**

- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Create user manuals and guides for thin client operations.

- **Collaboration:**

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support various IT projects and initiatives.

- Participate in system upgrades and migrations as needed.
