Job Description
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively as a part of multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, industrial designers, researchers, interaction designers and prototyping expertsOversee and guide engineering efforts across multiple programsIdentify potential problems early and suggest options based upon cost, time and requirementsUnderstand priorities to develop and communicate action plans internally and externallyContribute engineering knowledge on technical feasibility early in programs and provide manufacturing and commercialization guidance as programs matureSolve complex technical problems within the bounds of timing and cost constraintsDesign, build and test prototypes to characterize performanceTranslate the output of concept and prototyping efforts into fully realized, detailed designs while working under design controlsQualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering5-15 years of professional experience in product development engineering designExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearlyExperience with a range of prototyping and manufacturing methods, especially injection moldingExperienced in managing all technical aspects of device development programsExperience developing medical or drug delivery devicesDesire to design, build, test, and troubleshoot physical prototypes, including electronics and electromechanicsProficient with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)Additional Information
This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in the office.
