What You ll Do

You will be responsible for the protection and growth of the most trusted name in sports, Sports Illustrated. Based in Authentic s New York headquarters, you will manage relationships with existing brand partners and licensees, identify new partnership and brand extension opportunities, and collaborate with internal business development, marketing, creative, legal, and finance teams to drive the global expansion of the Sports Illustrated, SI Swimsuit, and SI Kids businesses.

Whether through consumer products, apparel & fashion, digital ventures, content & media, events & experiences, or hospitality projects, you will operate at the intersection of sports, lifestyle, and culture to ensure that the 21st century version of Sports Illustrated reaches consumers and fans wherever they are, and in a way that honors the unmatched heritage of the iconic brand.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Report to the SVP, Media, working alongside SI s dedicated brand and content management professionals to act as a key liaison between Authentic and its SI partners and foster relationships with relevant stakeholders;
  • Identify ways to increase partnership revenue through increased sales and royalty opportunities;
  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities for Sports Illustrated and its franchises;
  • Work with internal business development and legal teams to negotiate brand licensing and partnership deals;
  • Oversee ongoing maintenance of and adherence to existing contracts;
  • Manage Sports Illustrated s revenue book, tracking accounts receivable and new business pipeline to ensure accurate budgeting and achievement of revenue targets;
  • Proactive communication across all partner activities, including the appropriate tracking both internally and externally;
  • Ensure fulfillment of all partner deliverables, including creative, marketing, and communications initiatives;
  • Represent Authentic and Sports Illustrated professionally and collaboratively at events, meetings, and conferences both domestically and internationally

Must Haves

  • Approximately 10 years previous experience at a brand, agency, or law firm;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & creative mindset;
  • Legal experience preferred;
  • Proven track record in fostering strong client relationships;
  • Proven track record in business development and sales;
  • Ability to lead others and act decisively;
  • Interest in global key influencers, brand activity, sports, and popular culture;
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, managing a P&L, and tracking revenue
  • Excellent communication and professional language skills;
  • Flexible mindset regarding the requirements of the role; availability and accessibility;
  • Complete discretion, positive attitude, and proactive approach;
  • Proven ability to self-manage and multi-task;
  • Willingness & ability to travel significantly internationally;

Primary Location Salary Range:

$125,000 - $150, 000
