The Role
As a Senior Director of Business Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Product, Network Engineering, Technology, and Security (STEPN) organization. This leader works closely with the Product Chief Technology Officer (PCTO) and senior leadership to align nearly 5,000 employees with the organization's vision. This role oversees critical projects and initiatives and serves as a vital communication link between the PCTO, and various business units, promoting synergy across the board.
This role is responsible for driving efficiency improvements, developing performance metrics, and managing follow-up actions from the CEO's office. The Senior Director of Business Operations strategic readouts for top-level meetings and aligns strategic priorities with the PCTO. This role extends to program management, budget oversight, and fostering a culture of engagement and inclusivity within the team. Additionally, The Senior Director of Business Operations leads the NETS Business Operations Support Team, adeptly handling a breadth of responsibilities from budgeting and forecasting to managing resource requests and ensuring compliance.

The Main Responsibilities
Project and Initiative Oversight:
* Oversees and manages key STEPN projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment, timely completion, and adherence to organizational goals.
* Liaison to CEO Office and Lumen Business Units Leaders and their staff
* Serves as a liaison between the CPTO, CEO office, CEO Chief of Staff Office, and various business units, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
Operational Excellence:
* Develops and manages performance metrics to track effectiveness within the organization with SLT Readouts.
* Works with teams to optimize operational processes and increase efficiency.
* CEO Action Items: Responsible for all follow-up action items from the office of the CEO for the organization.
Strategic Planning and Alignment:
* Assists the CTO in setting strategic priorities and aligning them with business objectives.
* Facilitates the creation of long- and short-term goals, translating high-level objectives into actionable steps across the organization.
Leadership Support:
* Acts as a trusted advisor to the CTO, providing insights, recommendations, and feedback on various initiatives.
* Manages leadership team dynamics by preparing for meetings, ensuring follow-ups on decisions, and driving accountability.
* Oversees key initiatives to ensure timely delivery and proper scope management.
* Coordinates with teams and stakeholders across the organization to manage dependencies and resolve issues.
Communications and Stakeholder Management:
* Builds and maintains relationships with cross-functional teams, business units, and external partners.
* Budget and Resource Management.
* Tracks the financial health of projects and provides updates to the CTO.
What We Look For in a Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, or related field.
* 10+ years of related experience 5+ years management experience
* Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects and initiatives, with a strong ability to align them with organizational goals and ensure their timely completion.
* Proven experience as a liaison between high-level offices and business units, with exceptional communication skills to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
* Adept at driving operational improvements and strategic planning, with a keen ability to develop performance metrics, manage budgets, and foster team culture and engagement.
* Special Projects: Leads or supports special projects, often involving cross-functional collaboration or requiring high discretion.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$150,380 - $200,500 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$158,290 - $211,050 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$166,210 - $221,610 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$174,120 - $232,160 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
