Post Internal Days 0 Category Family Foster Care Description POSITION TITLE: Senior Director for Treatment and Older Youth ProgrammingDEPARTMENT: Family Permanency ServicesREPORTS TO: Assistant Executive Director of Family Permanency ServicesJOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting directly to the Assistant Executive Director of Family Permanency Services, the Senior Director of Family Permanency Services Support Programs provides strategic leadership and oversight to programs that support our ACS contracted foster care programs. These programs include the Fair Futures Journey Program, Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP), and the Socio-Therapist Team. This position requires a dedicated professional with a deep commitment to promoting the well-being of children and families in need.Our Fair Futures Journey Program supports our foster youth as they transition to adulthood. It offers academic, social, and emotional support through tutoring, mentorship, and career readiness programs. Foster youth are paired with adult mentors who provide guidance and advocacy, while resources for mental health support ensure their well-being. The program extends support beyond age 21, recognizing the ongoing needs of foster youth as they navigate early adulthood.Our Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) offers intensive therapeutic care for children and adolescents facing significant emotional or behavioral challenges. These programs provide a structured environment where residents receive tailored therapy and support from a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Individualized treatment plans are crafted to address each resident's unique needs, incorporating therapy, education, and skill-building activities. Family involvement is encouraged, and transition planning helps residents prepare for successful reintegration into the community. QRTPs serve as crucial resources in helping young individuals overcome obstacles and build brighter futures.Our Enhanced Family Foster Care Socio-therapist Team provides specialized support to foster children and families. Socio-therapists conduct assessments, offer therapeutic interventions, and support foster families in understanding and responding to the child's needs. They collaborate with our case planning teams and other professionals and provide crisis intervention when necessary, aiming to promote stability and positive outcomes for children in foster care.RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for programs that support family permanency, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of Catholic Guardian Services. Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fair Futures Journey Program, QRTP, and the Socio-Therapist Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. Staff Supervision and Development: Provide supervision, support, and guidance to program directors and staff members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth. Direct reports include: The Director of the Journey Program, Director of Residential Treatment Services, Director of Congregate Care, and the SocioTherapist Director Program Development and Enhancement: Identify opportunities for program development and enhancement to better meet the needs of children and families served. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement innovative strategies and best practices. Evidence-Based Model Utilization: Ensure the effective use of evidence-based models within programs, promoting fidelity to model principles and practices. Provide training and support to staff members to ensure adherence to model fidelity and achieve desired outcomes. Data Analysis and Reporting: Establish systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting to track program outcomes and effectiveness. Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to funding sources and regulatory agencies. Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with internal departments, government agencies, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance service coordination, promote collaboration, and leverage resources. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for the programs under supervision. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess program quality and adherence to standards.STAFF DEVELOPMENT COMPETENCY:The Senior Director of Family Permanency Services Support Programs needs competencies in staff development, staff discipline management, and staff conflict resolution. They should excel in assessing training needs, providing feedback, and implementing adult learning principles. Additionally, they must handle disciplinary actions with policy knowledge, fair investigations, and consistent implementation. Effective conflict resolution requires strong interpersonal skills, mediation abilities, and proactive issue identification. These competencies are crucial for fostering a skilled, cohesive team and achieving the organization's goals in supporting family permanency.QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in child welfare, youth services in residential setting with demonstrated leadership and management experience. Strong understanding of child welfare systems, trauma-informed care, and family permanency principles. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in complex situations. Proficiency in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
