Summary:
The Senior Director of Global Depot Operations, in addition to the overall responsibilities, will
also, be responsible for setting performance standards and strict KPIs that will be tracked regularly to ensure the quality of the services provided by the vendors.
Overall Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the business leaders, assess existing depot networks and make recommendation to optimize network in accordance with companys needs moving forward.
- Working closely with the Regional Operations Managers/Directors, in conjunction with the Network Optimization team, to develop a repair and logistics strategy that will help maximize the use of locations that offer the most competitive rates and repair tariffs for the company.
- Build relationships with senior management of the top depot vendors and generate flow of competitive and general market intelligence that will increase the visibility on what is happening in the global marketplace
- Negotiate creative and competitive tariffs and guaranteed minimum space allocations with depot vendors if and where possible.
- Establish and track key performance indicators for the depot vendors such as depot turnaround time, timely submission of repair estimates, etc. and take action on any underperformance depot vendors.
- Manage the prevailing company Depot Quality Control Program to consistently measure depot performance. Establish and track key performance indicators for depot audits to identify areas in need of improvement.
- Build, develop and lead a team of Regional Operations Managers/Directors.
- Ensure excellence in delivery of depot services, monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Regional Teams.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelors Degree in business administration or in another related field.
- A minimum of 15 years experience in managing large global vendor relationships ideally in the transportation, shipping or container leasing shipping or leasing industry.
- Experience working and managing multi-cultural teams and vendors in the USA, Europe and Asia
- Track record in negotiating large supplier contracts that can be legally complex.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Salary is $150,000 with bonus.
