Status: Full-time

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000

Note that this range is representative of earning potential and actual pay will be based on skills, experience, and/or geographic location.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, the Senior Director of Business Development is responsible for understanding the retail business both from a brand and retail store perspective and possesses a keen sense of what is next in retail. This role will be focused on selling in our Agency offering for the development of Pop-up and Retail Stores. This will enable us to grow and expand our client portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties

Recognize market opportunities through client leads and sell Winstons services with a focus on both Pop-Up/Retail and

merchandising.

  • Research potential leads and develop a follow-up plan.
  • Attend events for lead development and follow-up.
  • Leverage social media and marketing.

Maintain and continually develop a flow of communication between the Creative and Merchandising teams and business development team with the goal of creating a cohesive team with timely deliverables.

  • Attend a weekly touch base meeting with the CEO to review the status of new biz leads and the Creative department status.
  • Give input to the Retail Development process to enable the highest level of client communication touchpoints.
  • Give input to sales presentation pitch decks and work with the biz development team to maintain consistency and agree on exceptions to maximize the effectiveness of presentations.

Manage Winston clients ongoing in support of Winstons goal of delivering best-in-class service.

  • Interface with all clients in regard to scheduling, invoicing and budgets.
  • Interface with all clients during project development and execution.
  • Partner with the Account Management team to deliver polished and professional service to clients after the sale is complete.
Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, General Business, or a related field
  • 8-10 years in a leadership role at retail or wholesale, within the creative/visual department
  • Experience with process, design and management capabilities
  • Experience with Budget Management, Retail Math and Business Analysis
  • Ability to visualize an environment or marketing/merchandising project rooted in a clients personality, driving the consumer experience and elevating the brands presence
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, business acumen, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Motivated self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit
