New York, New York Job Description The Senior Director of Business Development is a part of the senior leadership team within the Marketing Department and will work with the Chief Strategy Officer and assigned practice leaders on the determination, development and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives. The role is responsible for supervising Business Development efforts for the Litigation, Intellectual Property and Regulatory practices, including preparing for pitch meetings, identifying cross-selling opportunities, conducting research and analysis, managing events and general planning, updating marketing materials and supporting and implementing a broad array of business development initiatives to help expand the firms business. This includes supervision of a team of business development managers and coordinators, and is expected to collaborate effectively with other departments on various firmwide projects. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field with 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in professional services or law firm business development. Strong supervisory skills and experience are required. Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and verbal and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative, and team player attributes. Person must be a strategic self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast and tight timetables and can handle high-pressure environments while demonstrating sound judgment and flexibility to change course where appropriate.
