The Senior Director of Customer Marketing Strategy oversees a team of marketing strategists for Personal Investor Marketing. You will be leading a team of customer marketing strategists to provide guidance as they develop strategies. You'll also take an active part in refining these strategies and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (Product Marketing, Channel, Journey Orchestration, Analytics, Operations, MarTech, Creative) to coordinate efforts, breakdown barriers, and mitigate risks. Given your purview of all marketing campaigns, you will also support the growth of Marketing's personalization program by identifying meaningful personalization opportunities to test and play a critical role in scaling our personalization infrastructure and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
* Lead the channel marketing strategy for the respective area of the business. Partner with various stakeholders in sales, client services, product management, and investment management to align the channel marketing team's objectives to cross-functional priorities, and execute channel marketing plans. Approve channel marketing budgets.
* Mentor and coach crew to ensure they develop and maintain a broad knowledge and awareness of channel marketing industry forces, competition, and trends to act as a trusted advisor in developing channel marketing strategies.
* Lead specialists and managers, provide insight on best practices, and assist team with obstacles. Ensure the team meets tactical and strategic objectives and overall business strategy. Drive effective cost analyses and cost-effective solutions as part of the channel marketing decision process.
* Communicate with stakeholders, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure that requirements and priorities are understood. Monitor channel marketing activity progress and results and submit regular status reports to management and internal and external stakeholders.
* Drive the development of a continuous feedback loop to gather input from sales, client services, and other partners regarding business needs. Proactively identify opportunities to improve positioning of topics critical to the business area.
* Lead the development of channel marketing tracking methodology to set parameters of success based on relevant data, analytics, and desired results that are measurable. Leverage these measures to regularly share updates on the status of channel marketing efforts.
* Ensure all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements in channel marketing plans. Maintain an appropriate level of technical marketing and business knowledge to support program implementation.
Qualifications:
* Minimum eight years related work experience in marketing strategy, product marketing, marketing consulting, or digital marketing.
* Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
* Deep understanding of customer behavior and the development of customer engagement strategies, and general knowledge of marketing campaign execution.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience structuring complex analyses and making strategic recommendations and translating complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples.
* Strong experience working with cross-functional teams and consulting to internal business stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership and/or mentoring experiences.
* Proven and consistent track record of producing results and strong passion for experimentation and data-driven insights.
